Where this experience comes from
- Building-materials manufacturer: 80 warehouses, about 100,000 SKUs and a team of 350+ people. On-time order processing raised to 96%, inventory service level to 90%.
- Automotive group: six plants brought under one way of working across planning, procurement and site operations.
- Express delivery company: international operations, B2B import turnover up 21%, nationwide B2C e-commerce delivery launched.
- Medical-consumables distributor (current client): warehouse move to four times the floor area, new ERP live since May 2026.
One person responsible for the work, with specialists where needed

Case study: a warehouse move for a growing distributor
4×floor area
The new warehouse has four times the floor area of the old one, with space for expected growth. This describes its size, not an increase in productivity.
- Situation
- The warehouse was at full capacity, and the business planned to grow.
- What was done
- The possible locations were assessed and one was recommended. The movement of goods through the warehouse was designed, and the equipment and warehouse areas were specified. The operations team carried out the move. The design was agreed with the operations team, and the work in the new warehouse was set up together.
- What changed
- The warehouse has been operating since July 2026. The company chose the recommended location and used the goods-flow design without changes. It adopted about 90% of the equipment and warehouse-area design.
- Why this matters
- The team had not handled a move of this size. Expertise in warehouse layout and goods flow was added, and the work after the move was set up.
